as well as sprint programs focused on specific topics. All our programs are research-based
and tailored to the needs of each authority according to its unique characteristics.
Smart City Operational Strategic Plan Marathon
Program duration: 6 monthes
Many local authorities in Israel lack a strategic plan, or have one that is left in a drawer. MIC has decided to take the lead and guide authorities through a structured, moderated process to create a customized strategic plan—one that won't gather dust, but remains operative, with a concrete roadmap for one, three, and five years.
Over the course of six months, a select team from the authority will undergo a guided process involving several stages: reviewing the municipal vision, setting objectives, analyzing the means to achieve them, and ultimately writing a concrete, executable strategic plan. All of this is done while receiving professional input from the MIC team, leveraging our knowledge of technological solutions and relevant service providers, and utilizing operational assistance from Mashcal.
Target Audience: Authority management, strategy departments, and key divisions in large municipalities.
Our Sprints
Sprint duration: 4-5 hours
Vibe Coding – Creating Apps with Simple Words
Have you ever thought how convenient it would be if you could just snap your fingers and build an app that would significantly improve your department's workflow or your interaction with residents? Modern developments in the field of AI have made this dream not only possible but immediate, simple, and highly intuitive.
However, even simple things can become complicated if you don't know how to execute them correctly. Join us for a workshop where you will be introduced to the world of "Vibe Coding" and practice building your own app tailored to the local government sector. You will learn the right way to approach and perform this process to achieve your desired results with ease.
Target Audience: Any department or division within local authorities. No prior knowledge is required.
Sprint duration: 4-5 hours to 2 days
Formulating Annual Work Plans with the Authority
Every authority needs to start the year with organized work plans. This is also the perfect opportunity to gather the team for joint thinking to foster effective renewal, moving in the direction the local authority or department aims to reach next year.
Join the MIC team for a one-to-two-day workshop to map the challenges facing you, understand their significance and root causes, and undergo ideation and brainstorming processes to determine the best ways to tackle these challenges. At the end of the workshop, you will receive a comprehensive overview of your concrete municipal challenges and initial directions for solutions—from which you can choose and focus as you build your work plan.
Target Audience: Any department preparing for the annual work plan.
Sprint duration: 4-5 hours
Tackling Municipal Challenges
Departments and divisions in local authorities face a myriad of challenges. Sometimes it's a challenge regarding residents; sometimes it’s an internal departmental issue; and sometimes it involves another department or an external body. Our experience shows that quite often, the problem we think we have is not actually the problem we do have, and therefore, our coping strategies must be different.
You are invited to a one-day sprint where we will refine the challenge you are facing and conduct an ideation and innovative thinking session to generate new, more precise ideas to solve the problem at hand.
Target Audience: All local authority employees—at the department, division, or management level.
